eBay, Tell me that’s not happening!
07/03/2004 at 7:58 pm #1747292I’ve been debating on us dropping one off in the Artful Dodger (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=27e48741-117b-4b65-be2a-ece1add44195) as that is a pretty intensive cache. We’ll be placing our “hard multicache” next weekend. The final on this one may require a canoe, so it may be for some serious cachers only

of The Cacheseekers07/03/2004 at 8:09 pm #1747293we did four caches in the Burlington area today. I had all best intentions of leaving at least one bug out there! However.
At two of the caches, we got so busy swatting mosquitoes and signing the log book, I completely forgot about it. I had one in my back pocket ready to place! In each case we were back to the car and about 5 miles down the road when I realized I could have dropped it there.
On the other two occasions, where I really did remember(!), the caches were too full/small. One was a micro, and the other was jammed with stuff.
So I’m going to send one up north with my dad (Tuck-A-Way) to put into my cache up there. He’s already take posession of it, so that really will happen.
The other one, I really hope to be able to get into a cache nearby sometime in the next couple weeks.7/5/04–edit– BOTH travel bugs went north. I’m just afraid I won’t be able to get out caching any time real soon. Thought it was best to at least get them moving. They will be up north in two caches my dad and I have up there near Amberg, WI. Will be dropped off later this week.

07/08/2004 at 2:42 am #1747294I just placed a Yellow Jeep TB into Glow In The Dark II. I tried to place it in a different geocache, but could not find it (3 seperate times). So it’s a good thing Yellow Jeeps come with headlights.
Just a note…. While dropping it off, I noticed one reflector missing, which makes this cache slightly more difficult but not impossible. If in the middle of the reflector trail you cannot see another reflector, take the path to the left about 20 paces and another reflector will shine back at you. I hope to replace the reflector within the next couple of days.
07/08/2004 at 1:06 pm #1747295ok — it’s official. There have been two Jeep Travel Bugs released in the Amberg-Wausaukee area of northern Wisconsin.
Go Get ’em!!!
Cache ID’s: GC5D59 & GCG2VK
By the way — when I looked at the “Nearest Caches” list for this area, one of those caches showed the Jeep travel bug icon, the other only showed a regular travel bug icon. There IS a regular bug in there also. So does that icon over-ride the Jeep one?
