Hello fellow geocachers! First, I’d like to say I’m quite honored and surprised by this nomination!
So, a little about myself, my name is Jessica (Jess), or pixiestix13 in the geocaching world. My first attempt at geocaching back in 2008 was a complete failure. I went out in search of my first cache with my car GPS. After wandering around in circles, and not having a clue of what I was doing, I gave up. Fast forward to August of 2014, when I heard about geocaching again, I decided to give it another try. I started out using the geocaching app on my phone. Thankfully I was able to make the find, and I was hooked! I have since upgraded to a handheld GPS unit, and have been having so much fun. I still wander in circles from time to time, but I love the great places that geocaching has taken me to, and of course all the great people that I have met because of it.
I grew up and still live in Milwaukee, but travel as much as I can. One goal of mine is at least once a year I visit a city/state that I have never been to before. Geocaching has certainly helped me with that. Aside from geocaching, other activities and interests that I have are camping, photography, music, scrapbooking, and traveling. I love keeping busy and trying new things, so this will definitely be a new adventure for me!
