Hello! My name is Jessica Krueger, also known as pixiestix13 in the geocaching world.  My first attempt with geocaching was back in 2008, when I tried using a car gps, and after going in circles, I gave up.  I thought there was no way anyone could find these things.  Fast forward to 2014 where I gave it another shot, this time using the app on my phone.  Coincidentally, I was at the same park where I made my first attempt at.  This time I had much better luck, and found two!  That was all I needed, and I was hooked.  Going on three years later, I still find myself going in circles at times, but at least I’m enjoying it!  I love all the places geocaching as taken me to, most of which I probably would never have known existed.  I’ve met some great people, and have had a lot of laughs along the way.

 

Outside of geocaching, I enjoy camping, photography, scrapbooking, wine/beer tasting and travel.  My goal every year is to go someplace I’ve never been, and try something new. I’m hoping to add a few more states to my geocaching list this year, and also to finish up the WGA state park list.  I’m also working on completing some of the older caches around the area, but that will definitely involve more travel this year, which I’m always happy about. 

 

As for changes I would make, right now the BOD seems like a great working machine.  From an outside look, I feel that they’ve done a great job with the events, and they’re clearly open to trying different things to keep things fresh.  Perhaps one suggestion would be to expand more into social media.  I’d love to see an Instagram account, without giving too many spoilers away, maybe showcase the WGA caches at the state parks, or maybe the favorite caches of the month.  Just a thought.  J
