DOH! I just figured out who Burr560 is…
02/28/2014 at 4:49 am #1974342Kind of like caching… Do we ever know who everyone else really is?

Tunnel of Terro02/28/2014 at 2:12 pm #1974344Hey, that’s my picture! π That was a really fun day. π

02/28/2014 at 4:17 pm #1974345got about 25% of twisted limbs done, managing to get the edge pieces and a few lucky matches. then the computer starts acting up and starts my paused puzzle for about 15 minutes of idle time. so I am at about 90 minutes and with that one, using the ghost image is almost a hinderance than a help.

02/28/2014 at 6:26 pm #1974346The first 10% of Twisted Limbs is easy. So is the last 10%. It’s that middle 80% that’s the killer!
When we were kids, we did jigsaw puzzles all the time. There was one awful one of a panting of still life flowers that gave us fits. It gave my mom fits, too. She threw that one out, the only one she ever did that to. I’m thinking that Twisted Limbs might be in that same category…
But then there are those who like a challenge…
02/28/2014 at 9:41 pm #1974347HOLY POOPS! I beat the SandyLander on hack’s Paddles. π― I think I should retire now 8)

No, kfh, you can now try to beat my time for Twisted Limbs. π Finally finished that one… Kind of like a challenge cache: don’t place one if you haven’t met the challenge yourself. Now I can go after nice puzzles like Hack’s orange golf ball TB. π
02/28/2014 at 11:40 pm #1974349Looks like the hippie has been busy creating puzzles. Keep them coming! Unless they’re 300 pieces. π

Can’t make a 300 piece until I finish a 300 piece and that ain’t happening anytime soon. I’m only about 30% done. π³
03/01/2014 at 12:18 am #1974351Mr. Sandlanders wanted to get into the puzzle act, so I made some puzzles for him to try. They are under my name but in a “private” folder, so hopefully no one else sees them… and his times on them. π
03/01/2014 at 12:33 am #1974352It didn’t really help me to have seen the Forevertron. I’m blaming it on the fact I was there in the summer and the photo looks like fall. π
03/01/2014 at 12:35 am #1974353You can tell Mr. Sandlanders I’ve come in dead last on every single one I’ve done….AND I DON’T CARE! I do this for the fun, not the competition. There’s enough of that out in the world as it is.
03/01/2014 at 12:53 am #1974354Birdin’, you don’t know that you came in dead last. There are lots of people out there just like you who work the puzzles for fun. They don’t have accounts, so their names and times don’t show up. You might be the highest scorer of the non-named completers!
And as with caching, it’s not about the numbers for me. My times may look good, but that is a product of years and years of practice with the wooden and cardboard puzzles. I am also a very spatial person, so this type of activity comes easily to me.
Walking in swamps, however, does not. π

I wonder if walking in swamps comes easily to anyone….besides CJ maybe.
