Hello, my name is Jim, my geocaching username is labzone. I chose it because I raise Labrador Retriever’s. I’ve lived in Sturgeon Bay WI since I was 8 years old. I have 3 kids and 4 Grand kids. I am a self-employed finish carpenter/cabinetmaker, a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical responder for the last 13 years. It is very rewarding to help people in need!
I have been geocaching for about 4 years, have placed almost 100 caches so far here in Door County and have hosted two events. I am the trail boss on 4 of the WGA State Park caches as well. The wheels are always spinning trying to come up with exciting and fun new caches to build. I’m the guy that will jump out of bed at midnight when the phone pings for a new cache that has just published for an FTF.
I am very impressed with the friendliness and willingness to help of all the members of the WGA! I’ve made lots of good new friends through geocaching and look forward to meeting many more of you in the future. I am honored to have been nominated as a candidate for the WGA Board of Directors! I am ready, willing and excited to step up and do whatever it takes to help wherever I can with the WGA!
