Hello…
My name is Jim Rudy (labzone)
I live in Sturgeon Bay, I’ve lived here most of my life and love it here. I have 3 Children and 6 Grandchildren. I’m a self employed finish carpenter/cabinetmaker. I am also a volunteer Firefighter and an Emergency Medical Responder. Raise Labrador Retrievers. My main hobbies include model rocketry, collecting Fire, Police and EMS patches, geo-coins & pathtags, fishing and of coarse Geocaching. I’m also an avid drone pilot. I own 114 geocaches with more are in works.
I am also the trail boss for 4 of the 5 WGA State Park caches here in Door County.
I have 3 gadget caches that have won COTM. Gadget caches are my favorite and I have lots of plans to build more in the very near future. I have been hunting Smileys since 2010 and recently hit my 2000 milestone.This is the second time I have been considered for the BOD. I look foreword to the challenge and the adventures. At this time I would like to thank you for your consideration for the class of 2016 Board of Directors. It’s an honor to have been nominated!
If you see me at an event please introduce yourself, I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. With all the buzz at events it’s sometimes tough to get a chance to talk to everyone. You can also ad me as a friend on facebook if you like and I will gladly accept the request. It’s a great way to put a name with a face or a username.
