There is a cache series in Appleton called Zeroes to Heroes, and my cache in the series focuses on John Muir (the series highlights naturalists with ties to our state). My local libraries are hosting a John Muir exhibit with book discussions this fall. When I investigated further, I see this has been all over the state this year. There are still upcoming dates in all quadrants of the state and in the middle. I will post the link below with more information.
Thanks for the good info. I went to John Muir Middle School in Milwaukee and always love to hear about stuff like this 🙂
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
Cool, thanks for sharing! Being huge fans of the National Parks, we know all about John Muir. A couple of us have t-shirts with his quote about the mountains are calling… Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
