Congrats to Johnny Cache on the big 1500 … thanks for doing it at my “Looking Back In Time” … now don’t look back as you go for 2000 and then 3000!
12/12/2006 at 11:05 pm #1767541Way to go!! It’s great to see the number of people reaching these goals. Still time to get 2000 by 1/1/07 😉
12/12/2006 at 11:43 pm #1767542Congrats on your latest milestone, John. Keep up the good work.
12/13/2006 at 2:36 am #1767543Congratualtions on the 1500! You’ll be past 2000 before you know if. You might even get there faster caching during the day!
12/13/2006 at 4:55 am #1767544You’d think he’d choose a memorable cache for such a milestone. Perhaps a cache that would have some deep, personal meaning for him. A cache such as “Spinning a Yarn: Johnny Cash”…..
12/13/2006 at 5:14 am #1767545And heres another guy making it impossible for us to catch him! Nice job, John and crew! See you out there!
12/13/2006 at 9:52 am #1767546Congrats on the Milestone. Keep up the good work and Happy Holidays.
12/13/2006 at 4:03 pm #1767547We made the pilgrimage recently to meet the Man in Black. Congratulations!
12/13/2006 at 4:31 pm #1767548Thanks for the congrats. But unlike most, I ‘m not into the nice round number milestones. I like to be different. For some reason, I like prime numbers that end with 11. So in actuality my next benchmark is 1511. Here are my next few milestones if you still want to monitor my progress.
1811
2011
2111
2311
2411
2711
3011…So Roger, there’s still hope for my next milestone. The choices have been narrowed considerably with the fate of the Gauntlet.
BTW. If you get the chance, check out Ron’s “Looking Back in Time” GCZEEV in Port Washington. It’s a unique, interesting multi that the kids (big kids as well) will have fun with.
12/13/2006 at 11:23 pm #1767549Woo-hoo Johnny! Good luck on your next milestone – whatever it may be….
😉12/14/2006 at 6:34 pm #1767550WE echo congrats too…. you might be passing us up soon as there aren’t any left in our area. Hope to catch up with you again soon. ET asks when your going to visit again often.
Timberline Echoes12/15/2006 at 2:40 pm #1767551Way to go John! 1811 is just around the corner.
12/18/2006 at 4:15 am #1767552HE DID IT!!! 1511 and on Spinning a Yarn: Johnny Cash” Wow, who’d have ever thought he’d do that? I mean, what an honor! I was going to mention something but decided not to…..oh, wait – I guess I did.
Woohoo anyway!
12/18/2006 at 1:42 pm #1767553Nice job on the milestone. Hey, didn’t you lose your GPSr in Sheboygan back in October? Must be using the force to keep on caching!
12/18/2006 at 5:05 pm #1767554Yes, I hit that milestone and also knocked off a few others that have been on the list for quite some time. The South African Fleeflamer was brilliant. And it was nice to actually hunt in daylight hours. Some of those would have been impossible night time caches. Spinning a Yarn: Johnny Cache – It’s amazing what you can find in the woods!!!
All of this wouldn’t have been possible without Uncle Fun graciously letting me use his backup GPSr. Sure, it needs a good wack every once in a while, but it’s filled in nicely while Santa hopefully brings me an upgrade. Thanks Dave.
And if anyone is in the Sheboygan area and wants a real good hunt, check out GCF569 – MILL ROAD PIGEON RIVER CACHE. Don’t look for the ammo box. You’ll be looking for a small green Garmin Geko 201. LOL My wife thinks I lost it on purpose so I could justify an upgrade. 🙄
