I need some help remembering what I want to remember …

About 2 or 3 years back I remember reading about some “junk art” place that I think is in Wisconsin … it might or might not be called a “museum”. I seem to remember that it had a lot of very large, cool stuff OUTSIDE … like big metal sculptures made out of old junk items, some very large and some the are mechanically moving and stuff.

I don’t recall if there is a geocache at the place, or if I just read about it on a WGA forum link, or maybe it was something I came across on an old “reverse cache” as coordinates to a place that met that cache’s unique requirements.

If this rings a bell to anyone … clue me in on what/where it is.

The only thing I’m find on a google search, is: Schettl’s Weird Status and Art Junk, in Butte Des Morts / Oshkosh area … it could be that place, but I think the place I’m remembering had more of an emphasis on outdoor stuff rather than so much indoor stuff.

Is there not some park are something like that over in the Philipps area? Everything is made with large stones and rock?

That would be my guess. The place is really cool. Not only are there some great sculptures but the store has some decent finds in it.

If you find yourself near Taylors Falls, MN, you might find Franconia Sculpture Park entertaining, as well.

Marshfield has “Jurustic Park” too that is a lot of fun and free but no cache there. We talked to the owner once about putting one there… but he didn’t quite get it.

It’s really worth the trip. We went there last month. If you link to my blog under my sig line, you can go back a couple entries and read about it (without any give-aways about the hide, which was half the fun!)
