In honor of the following question post on a 07-21-2005, by Trudy & the beast, I decided to start a game of “Where’s Jeff Been?”

“are there no threads on this board that are just for fun?”
The rules are simple, if you see Jeff on the trail, in his car, on his bike, at the local dairy queen, etc. post a note here and let us know that he’s still in action. No note will be taken too seriously, and no offense will be taken by anyone reading your post…unless it’s by Jeff…but he’s not a WGA member anymore so what do we care?!!! (Calm down people…he has this link…he knows about the game!)

Jeff Tales will be accepted. (After all, if we weren’t there, how do we know what REALLY happened?)

    Example:
While standing in line at the local Tasty Freeze I felt something hit the back of my head. I reached back and felt that there was a lump on my head. Turning around to see what was behind me I saw a familiar face. It was wzbt03. He smiled at me and said hello, as did I. As I returned my attentions to the menu board, and began speaking my order to the cashier I felt another blow to my head. Again, I turned to see only Jeff standing behind me. I noticed that he was holding his GPSR with a tight grip. This time I confronted him with questions of why he felt it necessary to use his GPSR in such an inappropriate fashion. He looked at me, began to laugh hysterically and said, “It was funny to me.” I picked up my food and walked away quietly.

That’s a Jeff Tale! We all know that he would not use his GPSR that way. Or at the very least, if he did…I’d kick his bumm instead of walking away!

    Finding Wizbit Practice…

Hint: Wizbit would not be caught dead in stripes.

I was at breakfast, deep in conversation with another cacher when this guy with a funny hat approached. We exchanged glances as I continued the conversation and when I turned around the man and his hat were gone. Later I realized that the hat said “WZBT03”, and I have regretted that day ever since.

When’s the next Team Badger outing anyway???

We’re having a tough time getting four of us together, let alone the entire team. We have actually been doing the email thing though…we’re trying…I think. Any suggestions Russ?

The last time I personally saw wzbt, he was deadheading flowers in a meadow.

I couldn’t think up a good story to share, so I’m just telling the truth.

Although we have exchanged e-mail a few times since, the last time we saw wzbt03 in person was along a snowy trail in Janesville when we were searching for Foundation.

We really miss the variety his caches provided, especially since most in our area now either start with a difficult puzzle or are micros.

    ****WZBT03 SIGHTING****

At approximately 18:30 hours on the 8th of August, 2005 a person matching the description of WZBT03 was seen walking a dog in the vicinity of N42°41.450 W88°59.260(South Pontiac Drive in Janesville). I’m not sure if it was actually wzbt03 because I didn’t have time to go back and to make sure it was him, so I’m just logging this as a note.

Given the location of this sighting, I too feel certain it was indeed wzbt03. Thanks for the note and keep up the good work Team Badger!
