We recently were FTF on a cache that had been put out last Sept. which means it sat there 9 months before anyone found it. There were no changes or complications ,just lack of finders looking. It was on an island and needed to be found via a boat or canoe but was not very hard. WE did have to drive 50 miles to get there. This started us to wondering how long have some of you waited to have a first to find on a cache you put out or were the FTF and surprised because it had been out for a while.
just wondering,

All of mine have been found within a week or two.
This one was the longest wait for FTF that I’ve seen–took six months to get it finished.

You Picked A Fine Time To Leave Me Lucille. One year and three tries later we found it. Canoe caches definitely don’t see the action, but we’ll be the first to say thank you for placing them.
If anyone has the time to make a bookmark list of water only accessible caches in WI, it might help and would be appreciated!
We have never noticed a long time transpiring for a FTF, but it has been at least 3 months since anyone has gone looking for our “On A Wing & A Prayer” cache, here in the Rapids. 😥
