Good Evening:
I have decided to run for the WGA board of directors, as I want to be able to give something back to the organization, that has given so much to me. I signed up with GC.COM, back in 2004, however, did not actually go out to find my first cache until 4-29-2006. I have found over 600 caches in my first year, and still have over three months to get to my “Geocaching Anniversary”. One of the things that I love about geocaching, is the fact that it takes you to remote locations that you would not normally go to in your everyday travels. For someone that enjoys the outdoors as much as I do, this sport is a match made in heaven.
A little history about myself.
I am 25 years old, and an electronics Technician by trade. For my job, I travel all over Northeast Wisconsin installing, repairing, and upgrading computer networks, network copiers, and printers, as well as many other office machines. I have a strong background in radio communications. My username K0RPL, is my Amateur radio call sign. I am licensed by the Federal Communications Commission to operate my radio station. I help provide emergency communications in natural disasters, as well as emergency communications for weather spotting, and storm awareness. I have served on numerous other board of directors, including the following. Four years in various positions, with my high school FFA chapter. I also served 4 years in various positions with the Green Bay Mike and Key amateur radio club. I am also the vice president of the Nicolet rifle range located in Suamico, Wisconsin. I fell that my strong knowledge of parliamentary procedures, will help me to fit in with board of directors meetings. Lets make 2007, and beyond great for the WGA.
