Hello! I am Kelly King, 42, life long resident of Kaukauna. I am a graduate of Fox Valley Technical College with 2 Associate Degrees in IT. I am the mother of a 23-year-old son who is currently attending USC working on his Masters’ Degree. For the last 3.5 years I have been working for an IT Solutions company in the Fox Valley. I was introduced to Geocaching a long time ago through a class at a local nature center. I found 3 or 4 caches and then lost interest. On Saturday, June 7th 2014 I found Geocaching again and have not looked back!
I am currently serving as the secretary on the WGA Board of Directors. I co-chaired the Wyalusing 2017 Spring Campout, am co-chair on the developing KidzClub, and have assisted with other projects as well. I am hoping to be re-elected this term because I still have work to do. I want to see the KidzClub become something that the younger kids look forward to, and the older kids get to develop their leadership skills by helping run the activities. I also want to continue to make WGA event bigger and better each time.
I want to encourage and grow member involvement in more aspects of the WGA. There are so many ways for our members to become engaged and make the WGA better. From helping hide caches for events to helping with the KidzClub there are opportunities around every corner. The Board can only do so much without the help of the Members. What can you do to make the WGA better? I want to help the WGA host events that keep the members talking about it for years to come. I want to grow our membership through 101 classes and community involvement. I want to be the voice for all members!
