OK, it sounds like KFC wins. Just as long as we donn’t start calling the Kentucky Fried Caches, I guess it’ll do. 😀

…and in case you are concerned about chesters around cache placements. You can always check this site.

gotcha on the chesters… just had not heard the term before.

by the way for those following along, I was referencing chester as in chester cheetah. now I have an additional point of reference on the term. I learn something new every day.

did not intentionally try to derail the thread. this really is on topic 🙂

I think this is fascinating, how we discuss our ideas, and a new format of cache description evolves. Maybe not perfectly to our personal opinions, but to a strong consensus with open, fluid ends. Ends to a means. The process of learning while playing, continued growth, of the person, and the society.

A strong part of my idea of geocaching is the concept of legacy. We are living in the moment of geocaching’s formative years. It will evolve as we and our technology do. But years hence, we, our children, and hopefully many generations beyond will be able to see the recordings of our organized interactions with these lands that we love.

Oh, and I think a certain Colonel, with his wee, beady eyes, is licking his lips as he once licked his fingers, thinking of this new subtle, viral marketing happenstance that has arisen from the ethereal mysts of the e-moors.

Guys, one thing please, if you come up with a logo, please do not include any sort of chicken reference. When I review these, I’m ignoring the commercial component (for the good of the game) but if you start referencing chicken, colonels, extra crispy, mashed potatoes, or anything related, I’m going to be in trouble.

Aw man, so my KFC – KFC cache idea won’t “fly”?

    Just kidding…

    #1885964

How about KFK-Kid Friendly Kaches. The “K” in Kaches would help in the determination of a kids cache? Maybe??? Just a thought and there would be no reference to any type of food.

So you want us to teach the kids how to spell cache wrong? Many haven’t figured out how to pronounce it correctly yet…
    😆

    Only in the U.P. eh… 😛

    Do you mean “Shanno”?

I have been trying to come up with a new acronym for the KFC’s so the reviewers don’t jeopardize their positions. But my creativity bar has been slowed a bit. It seems as though KFC is winning in the popular vote, but with an asterisk. So lets see what we can think of as a group. Here are a couple I have:

    LCC-Little Cachers Cache
    KAC-Kid Approved Cache
LMC-Little Minds Cache(take off of the new term for library)

Just Brainstorming, because I love the idea of a “kid” cache acronym. Probably because at times I’m a kid in an adult body…does a kid like being called a kid? How about YPC. Young Person Cache. YP for YIPPEE! I found it! 😆

If it changes KAC would get my vote. The other two seem to restrict the cache style to quite young cachers and might discourage adults from seeking Kiddie type caches. I still like KFC as it covers the “kid in all of us”. Gotta go, I have three grenadchildren waiting for me to pick them up. I’ll let you know how I did picking out the schedule for today.
