If you are looking for a great family event with many indoor and outdoor things to do come to Eagle River for this event. It is great and there are some nice caches in the area too.

I concur, fun event, tasted squirrel here a few years ago ( not everything tastes like chicken ), kids rode in a dog sled, had a horse ride ( small circles in a pen but they had fun ), the dog pulling competition is always fun to watch.
Also neat to see the period village that gets setup, some people actually stayed overnight on the grounds. One couple had a heck of a setup in a tepee.
The last two years I’ve escaped to the hard water for the day though :>
There are two permanent building there now. A cabin and a round house.
