Kudos to the campout committee for helping host another excellent WGA event. This year we had 4 people volunteer for the campout committee, in addition to the 9 board members. All of those who enjoyed the campout should thank them for all their hard work. Those 4 people were:
Hotdogs off Trail (Jeff Little)
Seldom Seen (Alex Schultz)
Cheeto (Shane Heule)
Labrat (Peter Quella)
These 4 folks did a lot of work to make the campout a success, in addition to the efforts of the board members. So, I will start. Thanks Alex, Shane, Pete and Jeff and all of my fellow board members. We appreciate your efforts!
BTW, our next event is the Fall Picnic at Lake Wissota State Park
September 19th. If anyone would like to volunteer to help the board with that event, just PM me and I will give you any information you may need and get ya involved.
And while I am at it, I have to admit that I got distracted and didnt finish what I started in getting the two other committees revitilized. If anyone would like to volunteer for the Membership Committe or Community Education Committee please PM me.
(Community Education committee: This committee works on developing a positive understanding of geocaching among the public and fields requests for training new folks to geocache.
Membership committee: This committee is new, and is intended to grow membership in the WGA with active geocachers in Wisconsin. Projects that this will hopefully include is the development of “Geocaching 201” type classes and promoting regional events.)
