05/05/2005 at 2:56 am #1721621This year, at the Midwest Open Geocaching Adventure (MOGA), they gave us a special “Logs Only Temporary Event Caches” cache page to log our temp cache finds at. Ever since the type of log went from found to attended, it seems like Missouri has been doing this for all of thier events. They even have a special traditional “cache” that everyone uses whenenever a new event is planned. At Trudy and the Beast’s Asian breakfast, they had a similar concept. One of the perm caches in the area was the resting spot for event temp logs. Some people logged there, and others logged multiple “Attended” logs on the event page itself. I personally like the idea of logging on a traditional cache page for the event temp finds, because it could give us an idea of how many events we’ve been to. WE sure haven’t been to a few hundred events, but our account page at gc.com tells us we have. Any thoughts on having WGA or WI in general adopting a perm traditional cache page for logging Temp event finds for those who wish to do so? I’m not saying logging multiple attended vs. a L.O.T.E.C. page needs to be debated, but it would be nice to have the option for those who’d rather log cache finds, instead of attending an event more than once. 05/05/2005 at 1:20 pm #1749275Suggested it here. Once again we will stay status quo. Definition of insanity: doing things the same way over and over and expecting diferent results. 05/05/2005 at 2:56 pm #1749276Woah, sorry for missing that one.
I guess I should read the boards more.05/09/2005 at 2:15 am #1749277just checked out the linked lotec moga page. we cached with brawny bear at the stonehaven event. and i see some of our cachers used that page to log. i like that idea. and no matter how much the purists say it’s not about the numbers, it is too about the numbers. or no one would ever check the stats on the house of brew web page. and think of the poor people who have to get all that email from the event page. wouldn’t it be nice to have a dead-letter office for all the logs on those events? 05/09/2005 at 5:24 am #1749278I posted that there should be some type of cache that we could log our finds on and was told that I was telling them how to run the game so I dont see that you will get any where with this. and i dont want any simpathy on this butI am not going walking in the woods looking for ticks if I cant log my finds
so I am going to attened but only to visit with some of the cachers there and enjoy meeting new freinds05/09/2005 at 11:35 pm #1749279quote:

I was told we couldnt log the finds
how can we go about loging them this year05/10/2005 at 12:58 am #1749281You would simply log multiple “attended” logs. These count towards your finds. See you there!
