I’m spending the weekend of October 20-22 in La Crosse for family weekend at UWLAX. I don’t plan on having much time for caching, so I’m looking for 2 or 3 ones that will bring me to neat places and won’t take all afternoon. (I haven’t spent any time in La Crosse before, so I’m open to any ideas.)

    Thanks. 🙂

I havent done all of the La Crosse caches, but have done most of em, and there are a lot of good ones down there. If ya are looking for a quick park and grab in a very scenic, interesting spot, with a very cool hide, you should check out GCQDVF, Pettibone Gazebo. It will take ya less than 5 minutes to find the cache, and ya can park right next to it, but you will probably want to stay a bit longer to look around.

Probably the quintessial La Crosse tourist spot is Granddad Bluff, and there is a great cache there. It is Granddad Quarry Bluff Cache, GCNHAV. The walk to that one will take ya about 30 minutes, but it is worth it.

A half-hour I can manage; thanks for the suggestions, zuma! 8)
