To those who know us, it’s not much of a secret that Labrat_WR is my brother-in-law. Pete had a small and short-lived lead on me when he introduced me to this game on Christmas Day almost three and a half years ago. Nice trade, I marry his sister, and he pays me back years later by getting me hooked on geocaching. 😯
It’s a win-win for me, a great wife and brother-in-law, and lots of fun memories on the trail, many of them with Pete, and some special moments and milestones with Jackie, or sometimes partner, son Dan.
This was a surprise milestone choice that snuck up on me, but a logical and sentimental one. A cache of mine (GC1F0RX), and one paying tribute to Bampa Bill, a man I was lucky enough to know for a short time before he left us. Pete must have inherited some of his best qualities.
Congrats on the milestone, Pete, and, yes, I am slowing down already, and may yet get to see your dust trail from behind again. 😉
