I’ll be putting on the next breakfast event, but I’m concerned about the potential turnout if it fell on one of the holiday weekends, since many people may be away or spending time with their families.
If it were held on December 27th, how likely would you be to attend? Or would it be more feasible to move it out a couple of weeks to say, January 10th?
And while I’m asking questions…
Do you prefer a traditional restaurant? I have an idea for a location, but it would be more of a buffet/all-you-can eat-style where everyone would pay a set price.
You’re right about the holidays being a busy time. What about moving it forward to the weekend of the 13th/14th?
The dates don’t matter for us. We can attend anytime, and hardly ever pass up a good breakfast. The buffet idea sounds good also.

You are holding the bowling ball, you decide when and where to drop it.
If you look for a concensus, you are only adding a level of stress to setting it up. We [all 40 of us] will work with whatever you decide, and love it. If others would want a different time or place than you might decide on, let them take the book.
No matter where the ball is dropped, it will hit someone’s toes.

Either time (December 13, 20, or 27th) works for us. About the breakfast ‘type’, I think if you find a place to accommodate 40ish people comfortably, you’re doing a great job in that. Our July breakfast at the Machine Shed was buffet style with one price and we had a good turnout then.

This could be like Clue! Have the breakfast on the 20th with a buffet style at the Greasy Spoon!
Seriously though…the only weekend that makes sense if you think about it (Please read sarcasm here! ) is the 20th. That would allow us & reformed geo-muggle parents to attend.
Plus no one else would come those other dates! (Again… sarcasm)
