I’m a little late in announcing that Seldom|Seen has won the monthly contest for June, winning a 2005 Wisconsin geocoin donated by Jeremy. The prize for July is a 2007 Wisconsin Geocoin also donated by Jeremy.

07/18/2008 at 3:02 pm #1891992I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but Ralph has more points already this month than any previous month’s winner. This should make for some really interesting strategy for Dave and Alex for August to see who wants to travel that far for the 50+ Lonely Caches.

But more importantly, did you notice my log of GC13Z0E, in response to the logs of yourself and S/S? I laughed about that all the way from Fremont to Wausau.

And now I can’t stop laughing…. Nothing like an inside joke for insiders!
07/18/2008 at 11:03 pm #1891996I thought the replacement was much better disguised than a bison. It was all I could come up with at the time too 😀

Well, it was certainly more creative… almost makes me wish I had come up with it… wait, now I’m confusing the thread readers…
Hey, that sounds like a campout competition. Stcik you hand in a grab bag of junk and see what kind of cache container you can come up with in one hour.

I kind of liked the pen container too. i still have it, and will likely recycle it as a cache when I find the write spot.

What? You mean you actually DID replace the container? I can’t tell fact from fiction anymore….
Just so anybody reading this thread and the cache logs is clear, my cache replacement log was BS. When I got to the cache, the pen was hanging where the cache was supposed to be and where, back in April, I had gotten permission from Marc to replace it. But I held off to see if he any anybody else could find it before it showed up on the lonely list. They didn’t and it did and I was just far too slow out of the gate to get there to replace it. I LOVED the cache container and thought it should have remained in place.
