LCG Year-end Wrap-up Event – coordinator needed

Putting out the call for someone who would be willing to coordinate the LCG year-end Event.

We do have a tentative location available at the Horicon Education Center but have not secured a date.

the thought would be to hold it sometime in January but that would be determined by the coordinator/committee.

The center does need to be notified of the date the event is planning to be held. Janks15 is already on board regarding using the Horicon Center again. She thought that the event would be held as it was last year at the end of January. If that time frame still works for whomever wants to take on the coordinator role, that’s great. Be aware that the WGA Bonfire and Chili Feed event will be held at the HMIEC on February 25, 2012. There should not be any issue having both events at the same venue as they will both draw their own followers.

Once the dates are set and the festivities planned, the cache page can be designed. As this will be a WGA sponsored event, it will need to be entered on the WGA account. The coordinator can forward the details to the BOD and we will get the page ready and submit it.

Those who were in attendance last year can appreciate the work that Jim and Dave did to research the “favorite” LCG caches that the top 10 finishers did and how the presentation flowed.
the coordinator can make the call on how the finishers are honored and if there will be prizes for the finishers or if there will be door prizes for the general attendees.

There can be a LCG event committee forum set up if desired so that the details can be worked out.

I have a few calls into the Horicon Marsh International Education Center as a potential LCG Event host facility.

The date Muggle B and I have picked is February 11, 2012.

Should this not work with them, who has some other ideas for a place to have this?
