The Leaf it to Rusk County Geocache Contest is back and starts September 17 and will continue through the first weekend in October. Full details of the event are available at http://www.leafittoruskcounty.com The website includes the links to their geocaching.com listings,(there are a few that are still going through the approval process as of 9/17) but also includes a .pdf of all the caches, names, descriptions, and hints. Entry forms are also available on the site. Participants are encouraged to log their finds on the geocaching.com website.
The quick summary of the event is that there are 20 new caches/clues in Rusk County, due to weather all are easy walks and grab and gos. All of the caches are permanent traditional caches or multi-caches listed on geocaching.com, but also include a clue. There are three ways to win, but use the clues to determine the final answer to qualify for the grand prizes worth $300 and $200, $100. The first 50 teams to find 11 of the 20 will win a prize, and everybody who finds at least one cache can qualify to win.

Thanks for posting this, and for placing all those caches. I happened to be in Washburn County this weekend, so I printed the pdf of the caches and re-routed my return trip though Rusk County. Found 16 of the 18 caches. Must be something about Bruce … I went 1 for 3 there. Hopefully I will be able to return before the contest is over to find those two and the final two.

All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.

Got 17 of 18 on Saturday but could not find #3 of the Bruce Park Mulit. Went back on Sunday with a little help from some friends but no luck. I did enjoy the rest of the caches. I liked how they implemented some of the new cache containers available. Good Job!
