I was trout fishing in the area and I thought I would stop out at Hartman Creek today to check things out. Things look great.

Looks like the DNR did a “burn” in the fields around the group camping site. Hope none of the caches placed last week went up in smoke!!!!

Things look good…. We’re down to 12 days!!!

Jeremy Vechinski made a nice copy of the park’s map, with all the caches plotted out on them.

We’ve made these maps for all the past events and they turn out very nice. Unfortunately, the park maps is not exactly to scale. Our maps are very good, but not 100% accurate, again due to the park’s map not being to scale.

I also noticed a lot more trails in the park then the maps show. They have lots of ski trails/loops which are not indicated on the summer maps. I found myself confused at times which I came to intersections which were not on the park maps.

Anyone else still up packing? Finishing up a load of laundry and getting the final spices in the kitchen Rubbermaid. 8 hour of work tomorrow and then off we go…

Mr. Traker is loading the car, while the Mrs. is checking this site. We’re not addicted, not anxious, not excited, not…. not wanting to go to work tomorrow–just want to go camping and caching!!!!

I’ve been “trying” to pack all week. It hasn’t helped that I’ve had a lot of overtime at work, and being sick for the last week.

I’ll be packing when I get home for work tonight. Start loading the car at 6AM. Hopefully it won’t be raining when I’m making all the trips to the car.
