Lit up house?

A couple years ago we visited a house in the Fox Valley that had a full light show. You tuned your car radio to it. I think it was for “make-a-wish”. Anyway I know they are all over the U.S. So can anyone tell me where they are in WI? Or head me to a website to look?

There was a site listed on tv the other night but I’ll be danged if I can find it.. it rated displays, gave awards for most lights, most this..most that.

I have yet to see the various youtubes on facebook of whatever amazing programmed light shows are out there. The Guitar Hero one a year or two ago was nothing short of amazing.

I did, however, come across a link to the 27 worst Nativity sets, and one of the items included, though not a nativity, was an animated light sculpture thing for the front yard, depicting the flogging of Jesus as he carried the cross. Talk about mixing up your liturgical calendars on top of everything else!

Wildwood Park in Marshfield has a spectacular light show. Not synced to music (except one large feature in the center of the park). Cost of admission is one non-perishable food item. Last year we volunteered to collect admission, got all bundled up to stand out in the snow, and ended up in the heated building sorting and counting cans 😀

And there are 7 caches in the park 8)

The one on Ramlen Court in Appleton was really good, music thru car radio and a donation box on the sidewalk. We saw it 2 years ago so it has probably grown.

We hope to get to see the wildwood zoo display. Maybe the Ramblin Court one too. That duplex on Oneida right there was built by my great grandfather. My mom loves very near St. E’s. She and her hubby play the Clauses at Big Shanghi. Hope to Beth there over the holidays.

Oh boy need to reread before I post. That auto correct changes things. My Mom lives by St.E’s. My great grandfather built the duplex on Oneida St. A couple on Jackson too.

The Winter Wonderland at Wildwood Zoo in Marsfield is worth the trip. Spectacular!
