We hope to create our own little library this summer, but until then, we enjoy seeking them out when a cache is incorporated into them. Twice in the past week, we’ve unknowingly passed by two such caches. I ‘m trying to create a bookmark list of all such caches in Wisconsin, so if you know of any, I’d appreciate that knowledge. Once the list is fairly complete, I’ll make it public so no one else with this obsession (and no data plan!) has to pass by one again!
Thanks.06/01/2014 at 6:34 pm #1976224In Fond du Lac:

06/01/2014 at 10:12 pm #1976228Rainy day activity….I’m linking my now public bookmark list of Little Free Library geocaches in Wisconsin. I added several more by doing an attribute search for front yard caches and reading through all of those. I’m sure there are probably others, so keep them coming!

06/03/2014 at 6:35 pm #1976235I think maybe we need a set of instructions for some people who hide these. Certain ideas like:
1. Putting your log inside a book is very likely to be a sustainable idea. A hollow book or a normal container will work. A library card or a sheet of paper in a book will likely be borrowed along with the book.
2. Putting your cache in one of these without informing the owner is not a very good idea at all.
3. Because of high muggle traffic, even a good design will required greater than average maintenance. Try not to place these outside your normal caching area.

“Technically” wouldn’t this violate the gc.com publication guidelines?
