One of my first finds was a free little library. They had a big packet in there about geocaching, and used a hollowed out book. It didn’t pop out, so I had to “test” a few books before grabbing it. I think it’s an effective way to hide.
I ended up borrowing a book and returning the next day to put in one of my own.
I don’t think you need to worry about muggles as much, either, since people expect people to be digging around for books in a free little library.

06/04/2014 at 2:03 pm #1976240Thanks, I can’t believe how many we passed on our way home from our niece’s final recital at Northwestern the other day.
We’ve only done for so far, but in each case, the cache portion was pretty obvious or not right in the library itself. I guess I thought they were in the yards of the cacher or a family member, but from what Deejay says…not always. 🙁

Waukesha has a few – these are the ones we’ve found so far. All the caches are in the libraries and are all located in the city of Waukesha.

The Little Free Library is the location of an interesting puzzle. The LFL itself is one of the nicer that I have seen.
08/15/2014 at 4:30 pm #1976246I have one in Racine, GC4MW1E, which is actually a seasonal cache since the owners tape it up during the winter while they’re gone.

09/04/2014 at 7:38 pm #1976251Thanks for posting this list. I am very attracted to these little shelters. I love books, especially if they are free.
