Please explain to me in layman’s terms the steps to load PQ’s to my Oregon 300 without using GSAK?
ThanksI guess that means you do not have GSAK….. perhaps you should consider getting it, since it is a fantastic program.
Wait a moment, instructions to follow ………
1. open your windows pc. that is, have it running….
2. plug in your oregon. wait. takes about 30 seconds on mine to load and recongize it.
3. a small window will open asking what you want to do. the highlighted choice is to open my computer. click ok.
4. my computer window will open, and the oregon will be displayed as an external drive. my in letter f.
5. click on folders, so they display along the left side.
6. click on ‘gramin oregon’ so it expands. one sub-directory is gpx.
7. find the file you want to load from whichever directory you have it in.
8. click and drag that file into the gpx folder.
and then?
Yes, I do I have GSAK but heard you can do it without using it!
Yep what Marc said…here it is in picture form:
Open the zip file of the PQ and when when you see it on the screen (C…this will be two files) drag them into the Garmin GPX folder…done.

2,500 finds and counting and I still haven’t needed it….but then I really enjoy crunching my own data…. 😛
