I know that most people just want to geocache. But, sometimes there are family members along that wouldn’t mind a diversion from that. (I don’t understand it but I have heard about it.) This is just a highlight of some of the local events this weekend and some websites that list many more.

http://www.visiteauclaire.com/index.cfmIf you’re staying nearby and looking for some nightime music, the Volume One site would be a good place to see what is playing. Mostly this is Eau Claire, but there are some Chippewa spots and some even more outlying.
Ironically, there is an Introduction to GPS and Geocaching class at Beaver Creek Reserve (http://www.beavercreekreserve.org) but I think the picnic is a better “class”.
