HELP…….
I’ve been trying to log in to the web site for several days and have not been able to do so.
I’ve checked my profile page and I’m listed as a member. I then requested my password and it is the same as the day I registered for membership. I would not like to have to re-register under another name just to access the forum and store.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Mike
Cache & KeriOK…..I guess I can access the forums but I still can’t access the store to order the new geocoin.
Is this a common problem?

10/06/2005 at 1:06 am #1740839Which Website??
geocaching.com,
wi-geocaching.com or
groundspeak.com??I have never had an issue with the the WGA site unless it has been down, but it has been working just fine. If I forget and don’t use my “_” in my id then I get frustrated until I have that “DUH” moment and fix it. Therwise. I have only had problems, moreso, with geocaching.com, when the server gets heavy, like on a Sat. or Sun. evening.
PS Very clever ID BTW!!

10/06/2005 at 1:27 am #1740840We are using our name and password to login on the WGA Store 2. However, it tells us that we are not in the database. We would like to order 5 coins. Anyone help us?
Timberline Echoes10/06/2005 at 2:09 am #1740841I’ll send an e-mail out to jvechinski. He’s our computer dude…. just in case he doesn’t catch this topic right away. I see whta you mean about the store. Hmmm.. tried a couple different things and NOTHING here either.
10/06/2005 at 2:16 am #1740842I was able to log in to the store and order coins, no problem.

Ok what’s the secret code LOL
That’s weird…..I wonder why some of us can’t. Things that make you go “Hmmmmm”
10/06/2005 at 3:29 am #1740844OK………. NOW I got in!! Here’s what I found out. I apparently signed up for the WGA with a slightly different spelling than I use for Geocaching. On here I signed in as
cache boppin bunnyfufu
on the other
Cache_boppin_BunnyFuFuSoooooo make sure you are signed in JUST as you did originally when you signed as a member on the WGA not geocaching.com
If THAT doesn’t help.. then I just dunno!!!
10/06/2005 at 7:42 am #1740845Everyone who posted a request for help here should have received an email from me that hopefully solves your problem.
One thing to remember is that the online store is looking for your WGA membership account. This is different than your WGA forum account, which is used to post messages here. You can have different username/nicknames and/or passwords for these two accounts because they are completely independent. (I know this is confusing… I would probably be befuddled myself if it weren’t for the fact that I participated in the creation of this mess.)
Also, we aren’t tied into geocaching.com, so just because you have an account there doesn’t mean that you have one here. (Or that your WGA accounts have the same username or password as you use on geocaching.com.)
Again, if you can’t get logged into the WGA Store 2, forgot your WGA membership password, etc. you can give me a shout directly… jeremy [at] wi-geocaching.com.

THANKS JEREMY!!!!!!!!!!!
10/06/2005 at 4:17 pm #1740847The WGA site is also case sensitive, where the Groundspeak site isn’t…could that be your issue?
10/06/2005 at 4:40 pm #1740848When in doubt, do this …
(1) Go to the membership listing at: http://wi-geocaching.com/membership/list.php
(2) Find YOURSELF in the list, then look at how you have yourself listed in the FIRST column, which is titled “NickName”. That is EXACTY how the WGA knows you … NOT the 2nd column.
(3) Maybe highlight your “NickName” text, then copy it to your clipboard (this avoids different spellings and case sensitivity issues).
(4) NOW go to the coin ordering page, and past the contents of clipboard into the “NickName” field on the order screen.
(5) However, you still have to get your WGA password right (maybe not the same as your geocaching.com password). Your on your own for that.
