Logging finds

At a family get together geocaching came up and after the ahhhing and ohhing of my embellished geocaching tales subsided , a cousin said that he had found 4 or 5 caches. He never signs log book or logs the find at website. I’m just curious how often you all think this happens. Just how many are still in the closet?

This is a curious point. We havn’t placed a lot of caches, but we have found that about 15-20% of the logs that we see at our cache sites are never echoed on the web pages. That you should meet finders that have never logged either at the site or on the net, isn’t surprising. Some people will go out of their way to protect their privacy, even in activities as inocuous as ours. It is just their way of enjoying the sport.
