Logging Multi-Caches

We did the Three Bad Ribs multi-cache on Rib Mountain this weekend with friends from Wausau. We started logging it this evening and, in reading through past log entries, find that some are logging each of the three stages as three separate finds. We thought that regardless of the number of intermediate waypoints a multi was logged as one cache. Is that right?

That call is really up to the cache owner. With a cache such as Three Bad Ribs, i’d say that each waypoint is worthy of a seperate log, but again, it is the cache owners decision what to allow.

Cathunter is right, that it’s ultimately the cache owner’s decision. But, as a rule of thumb, if there is a separate log for each of the stages, it can be logged as three different finds…
