First I would like to thank those that nominated me.
For those that don’t know me here is a little background info. I am Lois, known as the female half of raslas in the caching world. I am from Sparta, WI. I am married to Roger, the male half of raslas. I have 2 daughters and 1 stepson and 4 wonderful grandchildren. I am employed as a Quality Analyst Technician at Toro Manufacturing in Tomah, WI.
My first cache was found on Christmas Day in 2006. My daughter got a gps for Christmas and we had to check it out right way. We logged onto geocaching.com and discovered a cache not far from home so away we went!! It wasn’t until 2008 that we became avid cachers and our love for caching has grown since. We enjoy hiding caches, finding caches and socializing with the many great people we meet. Since the majority of our hobbies are outdoor based geocaching fits right in there. For us geocaching isn’t about what we find, it is about the places we discover and the people we meet along the way. We are continually amazed at the things we discover through caching, many times right in our own back yard.
I was elected to the Board in 2015 and have enjoyed meeting and serving the members. It has also been a learning experience to say the least. I will continue to do everything in my power to do what is best for the membership and continue to promote and grow this great organization.
