The Lonely Cache Game module has been installed on the WGA site. You can access it by clicking on the ‘Lonely Cache Game’ item in the Main Menu, or by the following link:
http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=Lonely
To submit a report, click on the ‘Submit Report’ tab and follow the directions. Your “score” will automatically be calculated based on what you enter in the form.
Note that this module is completely untested (by anyone but me)… so the first few people who enter reports will be our guinea pigs! 😀 If (or when) you run into any issues, contact Dave or Jeremy and we’ll try to get them fixed ASAP.
01/07/2008 at 3:16 pm #1882898Question on the rules and what I see on the scoreboard currently:
Related to this rule:
c. You post a Did Not Find, Needs Archiving or Needs Maintenance after an unsuccessful search and the next log is from the owner to Replace, Disable or Archive the cache, whether you have previously found this cache or not.
Score: Terrain + 1 pointThere are DNF submissions for points where I do not see a followup post from the owner as of yet. Should these not be submitted for points until the full requirements for the points are met? For example: there is a submission by zoesbrother like this (not picking on him specifically). Just trying to clarify the rule for everyone participating because it says one thing and there are points allocated saying something different.
Just pointing out something I see, not whining. I don’t have any points at all 🙂

AKA Hopalong
As long as the cache is active, you can score points with either a find or a no-find, no matter how many people have found it. It is probably better to post a NM or a SBA note if you think it is missing, along with your DNF. I’m trying to keep this simple, and waiting for some of these people to take action would just take too long and introduce too much uncertainty.from the other posting for the lonely cache game Poll

01/07/2008 at 4:05 pm #1882900OK so I tried to find a cache each of the past two weekends and failed (the same cache twice). I’m fairly sure it is there but I couldn’t find it. Do I claim points for making the attempt…and then claim it twice cuz I failed a second time?
01/07/2008 at 4:13 pm #1882901Claim it once, assuming you posted a DNF (or a Needs Maintenance, which is even better).
