To those of you who watch the Lonely Cache game, we have had lots of action this month. We’ve had 16 people post 104 reports in April, and there is a hot-n-heavy contest for the lead.
For the future, I am going to make 2 changes to the rules as of May 1. First, per several peoples suggestion, I am going to add the cache rescue caches to the list of caches to find. You can log these rescues as a find or DNF if it is your first visit or a revisit if you have been there before. Obviously I will remove these from the list as the rescues are logged in.
Second, I am going to eliminate the bonus for providing waypoints for certain multis and mystery caches. This bonus was only available on certain older caches where the coordinates of the waypoints were not recorded by the original reviewer. I had many people turn in waypoints, but only twice was this done for eligible caches. It is apparent that this is extra confusing for people, so I think just eliminating the rule is the best course of action.
I will wait to update the rules and have Jeremy edit the site until the start of next month.
The new bookmark list of cache is ready, but is changing as people find caches on the list. It looks like this month will include caches last found around 10/12/07 or earlier, but again, this could change slightly.
And finally, the prizes for both April and May will be WGA coins, donated by Jeremy. Now, get out there and cache!
