Doing some rummaging around today and came across a bunch of caches in Illinois that haven’t been found even though they’ve been out for over a year. All by the same team. Here’s one of them: GC1JB10. Just do a nearby search and you’ll see the others.

Really surprising to see a whole series of traditional caches unfound for so long and I’m guessing some teams have made some pretty diligent efforts to find these. Wondering if anyone from WI has taken a stab at them? (No we’re not going to.)

I also see the “unfindable” GC1764C farther south is still unfound.

I wonder if they are ‘liars caches’? The south one certainly implies it might be…..

Look’s like a cache run made for Team CSI/gotta_run! 😈

Nope. I do not like tricky hides and I particularly do not like tricky, high-vis urban hides. I find no joy in “I wonder which branch of the pine tree this camoed bison tube is hung on” or “I wonder where the nano is stuck on this metal bridge.”

My idea of a rewarding cache is to work on a brain-bending puzzle or to go through some physical challenge to get to GZ.

I know I should leave it lie, but the first cache sited may not be any more ‘evil’ than several already available in the Kingdom of Selzzup. But what is considered a rewarding cache is certainly an individual decision. Personally, think flinging a bison tube (or a nano) into a marsh would be particularly evil; however diving for a cache in a ‘shark cave’ is an interesting challenge.
