So with my recent experience in finding a stray kitten while hunting a cache…. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=a21b19e7-dd9d-47ef-bdd3-163cb4ec04a3
Anyone else ever found a temporary or permanent family pet while geocaching?
We’re still trying to locate this little kitties family as it must have been someone’s pet but have not had any luck. Nice little cat that loves people and uses a litter box. She is not fond of the puppy of our house though…
We’ll see what happens…

Oh crap… 😯

09/02/2009 at 3:04 am #1913445What kind of cat is it? Since you found it geocaching I was wondering if maybe it’s a Litter Box Hybrid.

09/02/2009 at 11:28 am #1913449I almost always collect woodticks while out caching. I suppose you could call them temporary pets until they eat too much.
09/02/2009 at 12:04 pm #1913450Cerilene and I were in the backwoods of Pennsyvania earlier this year and i went looking for a cache. She waited in the car. Ended up being a dnf. As I was returning down the rr tracks I see cerilene walking toward me and there is something following her. It ended up being a baby kitten, about 6 weeks old, starving, bloody and dirty. We didn’t want any pets but after seeing a fox we couldn’t just leave it there to end up as fox food. So now we have Penn “The Cache Cat” living with us. He certainly is a treat. Then and now.

Once you name ’em, their yours to keep.
09/02/2009 at 1:16 pm #1913454That is a very nice Tuxedo cat! It looks like it has been cared for, and if abandoned, it was very recent.
09/02/2009 at 5:13 pm #1913455AW…….So cute Cheeto!!! (And Peach!!)
I haven’t found any strays, just bones. Gah, if I found a kitty like Peach did, no way I would leave it. I would be hard pressed to leave any stray kitty though. Thankfully, I haven’t encountered one yet.
09/02/2009 at 5:31 pm #1913456that looks like our cat, ours was still at home this morning though… be funny to put them in the same room, see if they think they are looking in a mirror…
