Anyone get their Task list and questionnaire today?? Just wondering, cause you know….. Back Computer Karma here. Didn’t get anything yet!1 lOL
03/23/2006 at 5:17 pm #1744662My A-Team of beta testers has been briefed and they will be checking out the new site shortly. The A-Team is a crack commando unit that was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit, and consists of Hannibal, Faceman, B.A. Barcus, and “Howlin’ Mad” Murdock. Actually, it is a couple folks that I hand picked to look at things first. I want to get some preliminary feedback on the site and work through any problems in the task list/questionnaire before I let the other dozen or so beta testers try things out.
Once I am comfortable with what the A-Team is reporting, I will send the beta test task list to the B-Team (the rest of the beta testers). This may be as soon as tonight, but will definitely be before the end of the upcoming weekend (3/26)… if you volunteered and have not yet been contacted, thanks for your patience.

03/23/2006 at 5:39 pm #1744663Part of A-Team reporting in … I just had my first run through the Beta on my high-speed DSL at work. It’s very Cool! This will be a great new site! Tonight I plan on repeating the process at home on my slow 26.6 “out in the sticks” modem connection. Maybe someday they’ll run cable out by us .. not. Or maybe the cost of satelite internet will come down … not.

rubeeslpr at aol dot comYes, you are on the B-Team, so you should get something by this weekend. This is probably a good thing because Randy uncovered what appears to be a problem with sessions and older versions of Safari. I will be working on fixing this issue tonight…
Other than that, it seems like our other A-Team testers are not having any major issues. They are also providing good feedback on ways the site can be improved… thanks guys.
03/23/2006 at 11:08 pm #1744667OK, got it.
We also have a PC laptop running Firefox and/or IE, so can do that as well, if you need.quote:

03/24/2006 at 1:05 am #1744668Good news for those of you with slow internet connections. I’ve now A-Test on both fast DSL at work and slow 26.6 modem connection at home … I can’t really tell much of a difference (except of course for uploading some test digital camera photos).
03/26/2006 at 12:13 pm #1744669The B-Team has just been briefed and sent in to reinforce the A-Team.
The A-Team uncovered only a few major issues and bugs (including Randy’s weird one with Safari which was preventing him from doing pretty much anything), and these have all been addressed. They had many suggestions and ideas for improving the site as well, most of which haven’t yet been implemented… I’m sure the rest of the beta testers will provide equally valuable feedback.
03/26/2006 at 1:44 pm #1744670It was truly an honor to be part of the “B-Team” on this beta test. The new site is INCREDIBLE! I think there is something on it to keep everyone happy.
Nice job Jeremy. You’ve obviously put forth a lot of time and effort on this project!
Best,
Jeff

Gotta Love this! I pretty much broke it. But Jeremy put it back together. Technology is wonderful!
