Since I’m getting no help from local vendors or our tech support crew, I’m starting to beg. I work with a young man whose speech is severely affected by cerebral palsy. His intellect is not. Thus, he is very difficult for others to understand when he has a lot to say AND he is mobile and resists the use of anything that is specialized equipment for special ed kids.
He would use a cell phone with a keyboard to text his messages when others don’t understand him. Lots of people carry these. I have been trying to track down an old cell phone like this to try with him, to no avail. Phone company, cell companies. They don’t have any.
So…..I’m making a plea. If you are upgrading and have one like this, pm me. It does not need to have phone service. Just a working keyboard and display screen. Thanks.
Probably in the kitchen drawer there are 3 or 4. I might be able to lay my hands on the original “Brick” – the eight-track of cell phones! 😆
