Hi. I am realtively new to the GPS world. I have looked all over for data that I can download onto my GPS unit, but am not finding what I am looking for.
Are there any general public domain sites for finding information about: Indian Mounds, trails not on maps, boat landings, etc. In other words, all the detailed information not generally found on paper maps.
Thanks for your help and suggestions.

It’s just getting started, but you may find some of what you’re looking for here: http://www.waymarking.com

Oh my! This must be the final solution to the virtual problem.
As seen inthe Waymarking FAQ…
On January 1st, 2006, we will be archiving all locationless cache listings on Geocaching.com.
No new virtual geocaches will be listed on Geocaching.com…
Guess that answers those questions.

Sorry… I’m a little lost.
Is this from GC.com? or from Waymarking?
Just trying to understand if ALL virtuals are going away.
