On March 8, the Tri-State Forestry Stewardship Conference will be held at Sinsinawa in the far southwest corner of the state.
Last year they started a youth component, amd are expecting around 25 4-6th graders this year. They asked me (since they know I geocache) if I would help them set up an afternoon geocaching program for the kids. The program would run somewhere between 1.5 and 2 hours.
I was wondering if any of the Southwest WGA members might want to help design the course and work with the kids? I live in the Madison area, and sure would like some local help with this. Plus I can’t imagine one of me and 25 kids learning to use the GPS units. (We do have access to a number of Garmin’s I think they are all Etrex)
Would you know of anyone else I could ask from the Platteville area that might be willing to help? This might be a great thing for a scout group or older youth group who are into geocaching to both help set up and teach.
