Cats in my past were.. Caddie, Teika, Hokey (hold kitty in 2 year old language), Spritzer (after Heidi’s goat in the movie), Bandie, Trouble, Kitty (very original) maybe one of those will fit. Guess there is a pet name website out there somewhere.
Sure glad you are fine.
TE08/01/2008 at 1:58 pm #1892795Well, my first cat after being out on my own had a very original name you can use if you want. His name was “Lord Dragar The Dreaded Stupid Hippy Winston Churchill Mikey The Sequel”
Doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue though huh?
08/01/2008 at 2:38 pm #1892796Found out yesterday (everyone went to the vet and are in perfect health) that we have 2 female and one male kitten. The black one (Figgy) is the male. The other two are nearly identical tabbies. So far, we can only tell them apart by their eye shape (Tiny has almond shaped eyes, and Brat has rounder eyes).
Brat may keep her name, although we are also liking Nipper. Still thinking though.
For fun, these are my family’s past and present kitties’ names: Eustacia Vi (Stacy), Figaro, Snowball, Squeaky, Sassafras, Trekkie, Whiskey, Kat Kat, Maximillian Thanksamillion (Max), Baby Doll, Tess (that is a shortened name, but that’s not a family-friendly story), Tippy, Tinker, Stanley, Bud, Sydney, August, Lyla…..I think that’s all (there’s been a lot of cats…)
If anyone is interested in having a kitten (or cat, if Mom is not going to keep her), do contact me.

Sorry, I’m past my kitten-bearing years.
08/01/2008 at 5:52 pm #1892798I can’t remember the names of most of the cats we had, but here’s some of them. I didn’t name most of them…
Stripey, Black Spot, Mitzy, Funny Face, Cat-tastrophy, Thom (the dog was Jerry), Blackie, Kitty and probably a dozen more that I can’t remember.
Current cats are Snickers and Milky Way.
Are we far enough off topic yet? 🙂08/05/2008 at 5:49 pm #1892799@Team Black-Cat wrote:
The problem with changing an outdoor cat to and indoor cat is that they will be out the door the first chance they get.
Unless they figure out how easy the inside life is.
We had a feral-turned-indoor cat due to circumstances very similar to Bec’s. (I used a live trap instead of leather gloves.) She was named Xeno for the Greek word for “stranger”. Even though the other resident cat (Georgie) never got used to having a roommate, Xeno certainly got used to the easy life. I saw a mouse run directly over her paws and she just watched it run off. She never tried to get outside, either.
09/18/2008 at 4:37 am #1892800Brat came to live at our house last night. Brat just doesn’t seem to fit anymore. She’s loving and sweet. The other cats are swatting and growling (except Sid — he’s seen so many new cats in his life, it doesn’t bother him). The dogs are doing great and have gotten to the stage where they are just ignoring her.
Here’s a photo:

Seriously, I’m still taking name suggestions. I plan on making Brat her middle name.

Now that’s funny, Lab Rat. Took me a few times to get it…
09/19/2008 at 12:35 am #1892803She looks just like a friend’s cat named Claire.
