They’re 65 and 67!!!! Not elderly!!!
Seriously, interesting article and glad to hear they were found and safe.

12/31/2009 at 3:39 am #1919040So much easier to blame others for one’s own stupidity.
RIP Personal Accountability and Responsibility.
What a bunch of Dumbarses……

I guess we won’t be meeting them on the trail any time soon.
And BTW, I’m 62 and consider myself young.
12/31/2009 at 11:26 am #1919042One’s gotta learn to use common sense when using a GPS. Sure my Nuvi has given me bad directions on more than one occasion, but that’s why I have the old fashioned paper map as a back up if it doesn’t feel right where I’m going.
12/31/2009 at 6:36 pm #1919043There have been some iffy roads our gps has taken us down….but if we dont think our vehicle can make it we use the old fashion way, we walk for a bit and check out the road. Then we may continue to drive it or not.
Just like everyone else said just because you have a gps on….doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use common sense.
If snow is too deep, don’t drive it.
And we also have a paper map handy just in case
12/31/2009 at 10:38 pm #1919044We often don’t go the direction the Nuvi tells us… just to hear her “recalculate” we think she get an attitude if she has to recalculate more than 3 times in 10 minutes.
TE01/01/2010 at 12:22 am #1919045I knew better than to follow the autorouting down the bike trail in Kendall even though the gps kept telling me to turn. I knew the trail was the easiest way to get to the cache as that was the shortest route, but I didn’t think the bicyclists would appreciate it.
