I do believe this hat has now become the “mascot” of Wisconsin Geocaching!

Now, I’ve walked up to a cache before and have been staring at it, and have still missed it….

But how did you guys miss this?

Couldn’t resist…I better get back to work.

I started thinking we were never going to find the owner of the hat. Then I read the newspaper story about the Olympics marathon race, in which a “defrocked priest” attacked the leader of the race. Hmm, could it be that we found part of his “frock”?

I can only hope that there wasn’t a picture of me taken at the picnic. Thank goodness I didn’t do the much requested FTF dance. I can only imagine…

HOB, I second the kudos on the photo editing. Maybe you should hold a WGA event to show us all how to do it. Maybe the hat owner would show up. Although, at this point I doubt very highly that the owner will admit to ever owning much less buying a hat matching that discription.

Maybe we should print posters and place them in all the Wisconsin caches with a reward for the owner!

My wife, geocaching widow, is sitting next to me and thinks that it should be made into a travel bug. The goal is to sit on as many heads as possible. Including people, statues, pets, etc.

    This is too funny!

Opps! False alarm on the Travel Bug, just found it in the wife’s closet … http://www.wi-geocaching.com/cgi-bin/slide2/album.pl?photo=00000271/closet.jpg; photo_height=500
(I’d post these darn photos like the rest of you are doing in your listing, but my UBB and HTML code doesn’t take for some reason)

Little did anyone know but we had a celebrity at the picnic!

Should this person ever hand the gc.com reins to someone else, not only will there be big shoes to fill, but also…

    A big hat too!

Great job on the photo editing. Someone must have way too much time on their hands. Too funny!

Okay, so I really should spend more time looking at this site! I was just showing a friend from South of the border our little website…and of course I had to bring up the hat thing…little did I know that I was going to spend 30 minutes laughing my hat off! I hadn’t looked at this in a while so I was almost as surprised as he to see what had been happening at the drop of a hat. Okay…so no more corny jokes. In all seriousness…I take my hat off to all of you creative people out there! You crack me up. LOL! We have quite the little group of cachers here, eh?

ps. drtmn says he wants to live closer so he can play with us…
