I’m not sure if this is the place for this. I have put out a few cache’s recently. I have had a couple of DNF’s logs on a couple of them. I’ve run out and checked on them to confirm they are still in place, which they were. I post a note that they are still in place and good to go. I’m starting to get maintenance needed e-mails from geocaching.com. Why on new cache’s barely a month old are they sending these e-mails out? Aren’t DNF’s part of the game? It’s sort of ticking me off. Anyone else having the same thing happen?
Thanks for letting me vent.

Weird! I haven’t gotten any.

I’m guessing if you haven’t posted a “maintenance log” to clear out the needs maintenance “red cross” in the attributes, and instead just “posted a note”, this might be it. Maybe someone who knows more about the working of GC.com might have another idea.
The two caches I’m talking about are GC6EAHM Signs, and GC6EXVT Otter Lake Boat Launch. There isn’t any “Need maintenance” log on either one of them. Just some DNF logs. One of the e-mails came from Geocaching HQ the other was from a reviewer.
Curious…
no notes on the cache pages from Reviewers or HQ. usually if there is an issue, they will act on the page with a note or a disable.

Is there a way to respond to either the reviewer and/or HQ, like through the message center? Or maybe just post the performed maintenance message on the cache page?
My thoughts – maybe a typo!

You might want to consider raising the difficulty level if they’re good hides…especially for that nano. But I agree with Tom…posting a maintenance log will eliminate further reviewer notes.
