So Saturday I could only get in one cache (Un-Subdivided) because I am now fostering a greyhound (one that had been spoken of briefly in another thread…)and he was arriving in a few hours. But I had to get out there for a bit. On my way out, I stopped at the local feed mill for another bag of dog food. I wasn’t wearing a jacket and the employee at the mill made comment. I told her I was going hiking, and was wearing layers of clothing. She asked where and wanted to know if I was following a trail. So I said, “well, in a way. I’m going geocaching.” I expected confusion, but instead her face lit up! She had just read and article (I think in the Cambridge newspaper) about geocaching and was interested. I explained the basics to her and told her how much fun it is. She was pleased to know that GPS units are affordable. But the best part was the question she asked me, “why?” I told her about getting off my rear and seeing all sorts of places I would never find otherwise.
She thought it sounded reasonable to her. Perhaps another has joined our “team’?
