Marc since this is in your area thought you might know were this is. I tried to search for this with no luck! What I am looking for is a cemetery in Appleton called Old Catholic Cemetery. Can’t tell you why I am looking for this place cuz ya might think I am playing with half a deck. Oh heck I am playing with all the jokers. Thanks Russ
03/20/2007 at 4:02 am #1871823No reason to fell weird about asking Russ….. not sue I kow where it is but if you want to talk aobut WHY.. just send an e-mail. I KNOW I would understand 😉
03/20/2007 at 8:11 am #1871824I’m curious if that is actually the name or just a description because they didn’t know the name or didn’t want to publish it. Might be St. Joseph or Riverside. They are right next to each other so it is hard to say. Being on the River could also explain some things.
Yeah, I have a pretty good Idea why you are looking for it.
You might want to check out this cache. Twelve Creepy Grottos
03/20/2007 at 12:50 pm #1871825St Joseph and Riverside adjoin each other. Obviously only one is the Catholic one. It is old, with graves back into the 1890’s.
There is also St Mary’s, over on the west side near Hwy 41. That’s where Joseph McCarthy is buried. Not too sure how old that one is.
Hmmmmm…….? Rusty fingers?

Now if I can just find that haunted Dairy Queen????Appleton – Dairy Queen
Sitting on the rubble of a tavern, unfortunate DQ workers are bothered by lights that flip on and off and unexplained noises as they whip up tasty Blizzards and ChiliDawgs for hungry Wisconsinites. (there are 2 DQ’s in Appleton – I’ve no idea which is the gate to Hell: 1813 N Richmond St or 2000 S Oneida St)

Must be the Richmond one as the Oneida St. one does not serve Chili Dogs.
03/22/2007 at 7:50 pm #1871830When we did the creepy grottos it was a blast from the past for me. As a child my grandpa took me here often to visit grandma’s grave, feed the ducks and walk the stations of the cross that were in those grottos. Sad to see how they have been destroyed.

🙁 Done this one already. Might have to just go back and take another look at dusk.
03/23/2007 at 4:07 am #1871832Ok, dumb question – I saw the pictures, but what the purpose of a grotto or these in particular?
03/23/2007 at 1:43 pm #1871833The 12 grottos in this case were once used for Stations of the Cross, during the Lentin season.
Been years since they have been used…..
03/25/2007 at 10:27 pm #1871834C’mon Marc not that many years… I did them as a kid….. 😆
