JuLee (I refer to her as Mrs. Witt) and I (MavWitt) began Geocaching on 3/29/2018, according to our logs. We have found 574 caches and have hidden 13, 2 of which are now archived. Our favorite hide is GC9FKTT Hydro Testing Site. It is a seasonal find due to water tending to damage the sensitive testing equipment at temperatures below 32 degrees. We are also the trail boss for the GC9DVZQ Langlade County: WGA IAT Series We have 4 counties remaining to complete the Badger State Challenge and hope to complete it this spring.
We live in Wittenberg, east of Wausau and west of Green Bay at the intersection of Highway 29 and 45 giving us easy access to anywhere in the state. I am the Director of Technology for a nonprofit organization. I have worked in the Tickets department at Walt Disney World, as a Crew Chief for Stanley Steemer, and a Quality Engineer for Lockheed. I am a Floridian by birth and have lived in Texas, Arizona, and now Wisconsin. All have their charms, but the people, landscapes, and diverse culture of Wisconsin are the best.
I look forward to serving the Geocaching community as a member of the Board of Directors to keep Geocaching fun and to promote new ideas. I believe my technology and customer service background coupled with creative thinking will make me an asset to the board.
