      I’m not quite sure why it’s fortunate that the air bag deployed if everyone was out of the van. Maybe it cushioned the train….

        My Nuvi once told me to turn off the road and on to a deer or water path that was a several hundred foot drop-off on the side of a mountain. Well, I would have gotten down the mountain a little quicker…

          A GPS isn’t the only thing that can give you bad information on where to go. Several years ago we were at the Grand Canyon and wanted to go to Supai Falls. The map we had showed a road that was almost a direct route. The road was a nice wide gravel raos when we started on it. It got narrower and the gravel turned into dirt then the dirt turned into two tire tracks then we were searching for tire tracks in the rocks. We finally made it to a blacktop road, but it had taken us almost twice as long as if we had taken the interstate and the extra miles. We decided to head back to the hotel, using the interstate this time, and chalk it up to an adventure.

            Well, there was one time I ignored the little voice on the device and chose to turn onto a “shorter” route that was labelled “Forest Road” on the map. Of course it wasn’t “Forest Road,” it was A forest road. As in logging road. Yeah, the first .1 mile was paved, then gravel, then…

            Did I mention I was pulling a 22 foot camper at the time? 😳

            Then there’s the time I got the wife’s convertible stuck on “Schultz Road” in the snow…but I digress…

                  I once had my Nuvi to tell me to drive across a lake to get to a cache on the other side of the lake. Right.
