I’ll be hanging out on the road caching…pending rain I have high hopes for some big numbers. My boy and I will be around in the evenings though. Greyhounder has my cell number (for a phone I have owned for a month and have yet to use – I HATE cell phones). My son and I would be agreeable to hanging out on Friday and Sat night wherever people decide to congregate.

Now that the fine folks at Geobash have finally posted a more complete schedule, I see that 8pm is to early for a Wisconsin bonfire, so make it 9pm, at Zuma’s campsite…..I have no idea where zuma’s campsight will be however, but somewhere on the grounds of geobash……I also have no idea where I will get the wood…..i also have no idea if this is a good idea or not……but it might be, so what the heck, we will give it a try.

According to the schedule the geocoin poker starts at 7pm, and I will be there to watch that, so if ya bump into me there, I can give ya better info.

Anybody going to the New GPS Adventures Maze exhibit in Muncie on Friday morning. Looks like we will try and make it if we can leave out early enough. Doesn’t look like too many folks have signed up to go yet.

I am working on our routing now. The Tapps & I are considering driving Thursday night to Muncie so we can do the Maze & event there on Friday before heading up to GeoBash.

Can’t wait to see all you Wisconsinites at Midwest Geobash around Zuma’s campfire. We are stopping in Muncie on our way over.

I’m here! I can see the Geobash from the hotel! It’s not too exciting yet, since we’re a day early, but the hotel is nice.

Hope to see some Wisconsinites amongst the massess.

Everyone have fun and do Wisconsin proud. Drive safe and cache on. We will be thinking of you here at home.

Have fun all you guys! We’ll stay here and get all the FTFs and cool geocoins while you’re gone, LOL! 😈 \

      Safe travels to you all.

100 and a few caches found, a few wrong turns (and one missed toll), $30.71 in found money and meeting some of Wisconsins finest cachers…..My son and I had a good time.

I showed up Saturday morning. The only Wisconsin cacher I saw all weekend was kbraband, and the closest other cachers were ClikChik and GeekBoy. Maybe I was just too far away from the other camping areas.

Had a great time, though! I only cached on Sunday, and I found 19 caches in four states!

That’s not exactly true….I ate lunch with my son right next you you at Taco Bell…..I would have introduced myself but I didn’t wish to interrupt your conversation.

Also forgot to add to my above post……Two snakes, Poison Ivy, Falling from a bridge and a narrow escape from a large falling tree limb…….

I saw you too, at the keynote speaker, I believe. You were across the room, and then when I went to say “hi” I lost you.

I had a nice weekend as well. In the end I had 29 caches in 4 states.

Who’s planning to go next year?

Who’s planning to go next year? Do we know where it is going to be held next year? Anyone put in a bid to bring it to Wisconsin next year? Tami

      #1875567

It’ll be back at Kendallville next year — August 8-10, I believe.

And yes, we have spoken to the organizers about bringing this to Wisconsin. At this point, the plan is to stay in Indiana. But they know we would be interested.

I remember you sitting there, but I didn’t know if you were a geocacher or not, much less one from Wisconsin! Ah well…
